Social Networking taking the surprise out of dating

Is social networking ruining all of the fun that used to surround online dating? This is an important observation as people who tend to use an online dating site are also likely to have a profile on a social networking site.

So it stands to reason that an interested party could see your profile on the dating site, do a quick search and eventually find your social networking site, where you have conveniently placed all of your inner secrets and probably a bit more too.

All of a sudden this person has more information about you than you had bargained for. So there are two things about this, one there is all of this information about you, which spoils all of the element of the chase etc and also it could be dangerous, a person could find out where you live or work which is not very nice at all.
