Rom-coms no good for relationships

In the world of the movies, romance follows the basic the steps of shy man meets girl, has several adventures, and finally gets the girl. If only life could be so easy there would be no place for dating sites, speed dating and anything else in the billion dollar industry.

The problems that arise from the romantic films are that they have no bearing on what happens in reality, or so we thought.

It seems that the average rom-com has a lot to be answered for, this is because researchers have found that women see these films and think that all men should be carrying on that that, the truth is that we are all not like Hugh Grant or George Clooney, but trying telling your girlfriend that.
