Date Rape toy recalled
Over four million children’s toys have been recalled when it was discovered that the beads if swallowed have the effects of the date rape drug, Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB) which could lead to a major rise in the amount of problems in bars and clubs as the availability of such a drug would be easy to get.
GHB when added to liquid will quickly render the victim helpless, which is why this drug is so dangerous in an environment where drinking is so high up on the agenda. But in some cases the drug can very dangerous and put the victim into a coma.
How this has managed to get into something a simple as a children’s toy is not known but it is believed that the chemical is used in fixing beads together, the toy is called “Aqua Dots” and five children have been hospitalised three in Australia and two in the US.
